Welcome to Derry Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website derryvehiclehire.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Derry Rental Agreement

All vehicle rentals with Derry are governed by a Rental Agreement supplied at booking confirmation or when the vehicle is collected. The agreement sets out the terms, conditions, insurance cover, charges, and your responsibilities for that particular rental. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail for the relevant rental.

2. Derry Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Derry, you must:

Be at least 21 years old (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, and additional charges may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period stated in your Rental Agreement with Derry. Provide valid photo identification and proof of address, and present the payment card used for the booking when collecting the vehicle.

3. Derry Reservations and Payment

Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Derry location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are usually payable on collection of the vehicle. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Handover and Return

At Derry, inspect the vehicle thoroughly at collection and report any existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Derry representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be assessed and charged in accordance with Derry's damage policy.

5. Insurance and Liability for Derry

Basic third-party insurance is included with all Derry rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Supplementary insurance options may be offered to lower your financial liability. Review these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Adjustments

Derry's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Derry Restrictions

You must not use the Derry vehicle for:

Any unlawful purpose or activity involving a Derry vehicle. Racing, rallies, off-roading, or other dangerous activities. Transporting hazardous or regulated materials. Sub-letting to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Uses for which the vehicle is not intended or that exceed its specifications...

Breaching these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your Derry rental and additional charges.

8. Limitation of Derry's Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Derry will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees paid by you for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law — Derry

These Terms are governed by Northern Ireland law as applied in Derry. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland courts.

10. Changes to Derry Terms

Derry may amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect immediately upon posting on Derry's website. Your continued use of Derry's services constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
